Change is needed.
I have lived in Lacey for over 36
years and watched as the city became more developed without thought to
future consequences.
My long-term vision is to encourage more
local and diverse businesses, create downtown centers that provide easy,
accessible walking areas, provide safe and sustainable communities,
and to encourage small, local businesses to help with this vision.
I will bring to the council expertise in transportation networking,
land use and comprehensive planning, a knowledge of zoning, the Growth
Management Act and special districts, including fire water and sewer
districts.
The latest dispute with Fire District 3 is a prime
example of how the current council decides on significant actions
without having sufficient data available to them and without looking at
additional options to make the best choices that will benefit the
citizens of Lacey
We need a Council that makes informed, transparent
decisions, and that encourages public input.
